Brookfield Farm Hiveshare Honey Wins Irish Times Artisan Food Prize

Eight young artisan food producer companies have won their own stands in the food hall of the National Crafts & Design Fair at the RDS in December.

The competition was run by The Irish Times Magazine to celebrate Food Month.

The following companies have been awarded a stand: Irish Wagyu Beef, a Dundalk company which raises Japanese Black Wagyu cattle; Ailbhe Gerrard’s Brookfield Farm Hiveshare Honey; Andrea McNamara’s Macarons (pictured above); Delish Melish, a company selling flavoured marshmallows; Naturally Cordial which sells premium cordials from organic fruits; Burren Balsamics condiments company; Kitty O’Byrnes; and Bernie Canning’s Blast & Wilde – a range of products including flavoured butters and tapenades.

The National Crafts & Design Fair takes place at the RDS Dublin from 3rd – 7th December 2014.
